Sounds like the fiero wound be simpler and more cost effective.

Actually I like the idea of making a V8 RWD Prelude.  It's somehow, almost criminal.  ;)

Then again what my wife wants to do with a Fiero is in some ways criminal too.  Drop the body on to a 4x4 frame, and power it with either a diesel V8 or a pair of L4 diesels.  Sortta-kinda what you might get if you fed a healthy diet of steriods to Pisa's Jalapeņo kit (http://www.cybercars.com/mnfr/fierohq/jalapeno.html).   :o ;D

What I would like to do is take my prelude, gut it, extend the frame in the front, CHEV high compression V8 with a SHAKER HOOD...YEAH BABY, pipe the power to a 4 speed tranni and out to TWO MASSIVE REAR WHEELS...with Tompson slicks. (Tub out the rear so I can fit like 330's)

and on the back window

"AS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE"

HA HA HA HA HA

Domestic has the go, Honda has the corners....ooo baby..imagine a Honda with some real power!

and the intake...anyone ever seen the first Mad Max....I want the diamond intake he had above the blower!

Not trying to pick a fight here but how do you figure Honda's corner. I have lots of friends with major suspension mods on they're Hondas and my Fiero stock out handles them. Plus with the addition of 3800SC I also out power them quite easily. Dan

well...civics cant corner really all that well...but my prelude can hold almost a G in a corner. Thats gotta be good for something!

Besides...I was comparing Honda cornering to say....OLDSKOOL MUSTANG cornering....basically they didnt corner!

I bet the Fiero can corner pretty well when its done up! It does pretty good stock. I dont think I could catch a fiero on a track if it had more than 150 HP!

As far as domestics go GM's have pretty much always out cornered fords and chryslers. Chrysler muscle cars were fairly fast but had lousy cornering and breaking abilities. Fords never did corner and still don't. I had a 75 Trans Am that came with a handling package and out did any chrysler or ford on the road. Even Fords most proudest Cobras built for them all they did was put in the motor didn't corner and became very unstable at high speeds.
I will admit that the Prelude is atleast designed towards the cornering idea with a longer wheel base and lower center of gravity but the Fiero stock is still better. Dan

I dont even care anymore...no car is better because the guy with the most money goes the fastest every time. No matter what he drives!

Hell...if I won the lottery I'd make a little red wagon run the 1/4 in 11 flat!

I just want something done on my car thats total F-U. I like both domestics and imports so I'd like the best of both worlds. A Honda with a Chevy power plant OR a twin honda engine Chevy.

Now that I think about it...if I went twin engine....with my engine...I could get 254 HP from a 4L engine.

thats not that impressive...if I went with the H22 I could get 360HP from a 4.4L.

still not too impressive...forget the twin engine idea.....FORGED CHEVY V8 WITH 1000 HP BABY YEAH!

Raw fire spitting outta a set of zoomies!

...and you cant forget the shaker hood!
