Title: Yesterday's Summary... Post by: FieroBUZZ on November 19, 2003, 07:37:09 am Nothing happened..... :'(
No posting (Marc's wiggling bums excepted).... ;) The Fiero world is dead........ ::) Don't just read...start something...anything :-* Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: WillEV on November 19, 2003, 07:57:48 am Well I had to pull my Fiero out of my garage to make room for my Trep for the winter. :-\
Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: aaron88 on November 19, 2003, 09:18:42 am The forum is dead because we lack controversy. Without conflict there can be no excitement. Without excitement people don’t feel like involving themselves.
So….let me pick a fight…I think the brakes on the Fiero are dangerous. I think the general feeling about Fiero’s is that they are a cheep sports car…personally I don’t see how they qualify as a sports car until you fix what GM missed when they were trying to fatten there wallets. I think that if the feeling towards the car is going to be that “it’s the cheapest way to have the Italian look” or that “It’s the cheapest way to go fast” then we are attracting the wrong people for the wrong reasons. I think that the Fiero is an almost dynamite NORTH AMERICAN car that had lots of potential but never really reached it from the factory. So what do you want from your Fiero? To own a classic, or to drive a dream? I vote to fix what GM f***ed up. Aaron . PS. I don’t really feel this way I’m just trying to get everyone started. Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Well your momma's so... ;) Quote I vote to fix what GM f***ed up. GM's biggest screw-up occurred when they decided to kill the model line. A number of people have since tried to fix that, but were unsuccessful. :-\ Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: FieroBUZZ on November 19, 2003, 11:09:10 am Okay, let's just get right to it....
Aaron still plays with fire trucks.... I heard AKA is pretending to be a lesbian so he can get free tuition (back to school, eh?).. And Don, Sacha steals parts off you car for hers after you fall asleep. Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: aaron88 on November 19, 2003, 01:48:09 pm What do you mean still? I just started to play with fire trucks. I guess I’m a late bloomer.

Well she must've stolen the wrong pieces, 'cause now her car doesn't want to play when it's wet out. ::) Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... I don't think the forum is so much dead as everyone is trying to put they're babies to bed before the roads get salted.... yuk..... mine however doesn't get to sleep this year.... she's going to be driven in the snow as well. I figure she'll be off the road long enough when I start customizing her :) When I'm done she'll be a lovely little monster fiero ;D What sort of mods have other people here done to they're cars? -S Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: aaron88 on November 25, 2003, 10:28:32 am Just brouse around in the Mods section and you'll get a good idea, go way back so that you don't miss anything.
We've got a lot of mods (many still in progress here in Ottawa). Aaron . Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: Kitten on November 26, 2003, 08:20:50 am yeah I browsed through some of what people have been doing to there cars. Some interesting modifications that's for sure!
What are some of the odd things people have done to they're fiero's? Or odd modifications that you've seen others do? What mods have you done to your car that you think has improved on the original fieros? I'm just trying to get some conversation going here :) -S Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: dguy on November 26, 2003, 08:43:58 am Trying to get some conversation going, or trying to kill some time while waiting for a ride from one office to the other? ;D
Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: aaron88 on November 26, 2003, 08:48:20 am Personally for me, all the mods I'm doing or going to do are for the express purpose of improving on what GM did. I don't have much of an interest in aesthetics, so how it looks when I'm done is how it's going to look, that's not really my concern.
I will admit though, that I may do a Firebird dash and door conversion. That you can say is only partly a functionality mod, because it's mostly aesthetics. But most definitely an improvement Aaron . Title: Re:Yesterday's Summary... Post by: 2ML67 on November 26, 2003, 04:03:14 pm I would have to agree with Aaron the mods that interest me most are the ones that count not the ones you look at and say how pretty it looks. I like my cars fast and capable of handling the kind of driving I give them. Now dash alterations I consider as performance improving if and only if the swap or mod was done to increase drivers ability to read gauges without loosing sight of the road. Of course updating to a newer say late 90's delco radio doesn't hurt either.
Basically my car may not be the best looking but it works nice for me and if it doesn't then its time to mod some more. ++++ |
