exterior is black but need paint.

completly new exaust from cat back.

Bah.. not sure what else.. car will be finished by the end of april.

Eric how many km on the motor? certified, e-tested?

Title: Re:WTB: 85-88 V6 with Manual Trans
Post by: FieroDough on April 06, 2004, 12:23:15 pm
Engine only has 100K/km

Will certify but with stock brakes. And e-test needs cat converter. But it can be done.

Cheers!
Eric

Thanks;

Cool, is the price the same with Cat installed and breaks returned? How much extra with the Rear Break setup? or would you want to include it?

Rob I don't think you want to spend that kind of money right now. I was talking about my 86 SE with the 1998 3800SC and 4T65E set up. Kinda stuck on the idea of doing up an 88 now for my self that is.

Dan -- you are not spray painting Fiero's yellow in Bellville, now are you? You always was a trend setter.

Went and saw it today.. Its an '86 BASE coupe.. cept it has a wing... which would make it a 5 speed Isuzu with the 2.5l, no price yet, looks like minimal rust.. but the interior doesnt look good!

Do your self a large favour look with good light up in behind plastic wheel well inserts for hidden rust. Also push on insulation in engine compartment with hand if it sounds crackly its rotted same with trunk carpet. Lots of places for rust to hide on these cars. I am not trying to insult your knowledge of these cars, if you would like I can go with you to look it over between the two of us everything should be found.

Yea, I know all the places that rust likes to hide in these cars! Ive got one on stands out in my garage thats going to be a parts car cause its so damaged in the trunk/frame rails that I just dont have the desire to fix. but the rear body is all off!

Im not planning on buying this car now, but I will go back and have a good look at all the places and find out price and milage just in case someone else is interested.

Sorry Rob, due to the business taking off faster than anticipated, I need to sell the car ASAP UNFINISHED. ie: restored frame with GT package, no engine and no interior.

I need the space in my garage for customers cars.

Asking $500 for the frame. (alot of cash invested in the urathane paint for the frame)

Cheers!
Eric

Rob; I heard from a little bird that there is a (red I think) fiero for sale along Hwy 2 just west of Bayside on the way to Trenton; not sure which side but whoever it is has two I think.
(only one for sale)
just a lead maybe
good luck

PS; you have a parts car in your garage?  Is the rad mount any good?  BoyZ is looking for one.  If you have one he may be interested and I could bring it back with me in a wk or so.
LMK!!

hi Rob
it would be the horizontal piece below the rad; prob a bit hard to see unless the rad is out.  Sort of folded sheet steel, like almost everything else.
as long as it is solid he may be interested.

thanks Rob; it would be for Karl, if it is any good.
I will be down SAT; have to come down for a funeral service; just down and back same day but if you PM me with your phone number I can prob swing by and pick it up (assuming it is in decent shape!!) so lmk what shape it is in (is it worth it?) and talk to Karl (BoyZ) about what $$ you want etc and PM me your phone number for Sat afternoon contact - where will you be then?
I can prob pick it up about 5-ish...... a guess.
Thx
