Head Liner Replacement

It one of the easy proceeds you do
BTW__please forgive the poor righting skill
1)   Head liner remover
2)   Remove al trim panel by slowly prying them away from the body there plastic clips the expand into hole in some parts there are screw that hold the down
3)   Remove cardboard headliner out of the car this can be tricky in most car but the fireo is very easy just don’t damage the cardboard shell
4)   Peal of the old headliner you be left with the old foam still stuck to the shell a wire brush work good to remove the old foam
5)   Clean up you mess the be lots of foam chip al over the place
6)   If you find you cardboard shell is cracked not to worry repair it with masking tape works well just don’t apllie a large amount in thickness
7)   Once you have prep you shell tack your new headline lay it over the shell to make sure you have enough to cover it in about a ½ lager the shell just like the original
8)   Glue seem to be a big subject it very simple you can pick up vinyl glues at most place you buy the headliner for about 5 bucks
9)   Gluing is the trick best method is to spray it on
10)   The shell apply lots of glue evenly coated is very imported if you leave lumps it will show let it become almost touch dry
11)   Headliner material spray it with a complete cover all parts of the material even coat of glue let it die to almost touch dry the same as you would contact glue
12)   Get some one to help you lay the headliner over the shell making sure you have enough material go past the edge about a ½ inch
13)   Start rubbing it down from the center to the outer edge carefully in keep it all flat to the shell
14)   Trim as need **sunroof you trim as need always leave extra it easy to cut more you cant replace lost material

I hope this helps I have personally replace headline in seat repair glass repaired in replaced in car in truck since 1975 so if you need help just email me or see you at they next meeting
