Title: Kevin's Fiero Post by: Kevin on June 25, 2004, 01:52:26 am :'(
Just a quick note to tell you guys that Kevin and Christopher are all right. They are keeping Christopher for observation. Kevin is staying with him with a very distinct imprint of the emblem on the horn on his chest. The Fiero, he and I are both afraid, is toast. The sunroof is fine. And doesn't look to bad in the rear. Everything appeared intact back there. Anyways...I'm off to bed. Gotta lot of things to do tomorrow. Will check in later. Darlene (Kevin's wife--just in case you'd forgotten who I was) Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: fiero308 on June 25, 2004, 07:08:26 am uh oh
not the message you want to see on the board, but I guess that is going to prove the value of the board at the same time! Pretty obvious what happened; didn't know about it (for whatever reason) but glad to hear that the valuable 'parts' (the occupants) are OK. So best wishes to you both for a speedy recovery and for no ill effects!!! Get well asap!! And I hope you are able to relax and get some sleep, Darlene! ::) -Graeme and the whole fam damily!! The contents of the car are always more important than the car itself. Glad to hear that Kevin & Christopher came out of it reasonably ok, and best wishes that whatever recovery is neccessary is quick & painless! Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: 2ML67 on June 25, 2004, 09:47:21 am Sorry to hear but as said the important thing is they are ok. If any assistance is needed you can count on the members of this club. Dan

The front passenger side was hit and Chris got the brunt of it, we could not get his door open. He was kept in hospital overnight for observation and released this morning, we have both been declared healthy, if not very sore. We are alive and intact.
Bow our heads friends as there was one casualty, James the Fiero, he met an untimely demise, gone before his time (sniff). I will post some pics later and they are not pretty. Thanks for your kind words, Kevin. Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: FieroBUZZ on June 25, 2004, 03:36:27 pm Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you and Christopher are okay, that's the important part.
I don't suppose you took the opportunity to get that horn emblem tattooed while it was still visible? It would even have been just right to look at in the mirror. p.s. I don't think I have enough bits to rebuild 'James' Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: Gizmo on June 25, 2004, 06:57:57 pm It's a relief that both you and Christopher are alright; especially considering the hit was on his side. We were left in some suspense last night when Darlene said they were keeping him for observation. We can breathe a little bit easier now.
Things are easily fixed but, we are not. If you need a front frame section, again depending on damage, I may have a source on one, as well as probably all the parts you'll need. Nurse, hand me that sawz-all! ;D Keeping the mood "cheery"... Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: Kevin on June 25, 2004, 07:05:30 pm I will upload some pics later so you can survey the damage. There is a 3" gap under the length of the passenger door, the front end is crumpled as well as the roof, the windshield was torn in two. I hate to ask, but what would be the possibility of someone taking James in for a while to finish stripping him? The rear end is intact and if possible I would like to remove the engine and cradle. I am not sure about doing this in my driveway though.
Thanks, Kevin. Title: Re: Kevin's Fiero Post by: 2ML67 on June 25, 2004, 08:15:46 pm If you can arrange for a flat bed or trailer you can keep here and strip it for parts, or I can strip it for you. U haul rents car transporter trailers for around $70 a day. Dan
