Title: looking for a 3800 SC Part
Post by: lacelles on March 16, 2005, 12:49:17 pm
Hi

Finally took the engine out the 97 Buick park Avenue Ultra (wreck car), and I'm looking for a part that was damage in the accident.  I'm not sure of the exact name, but this the picture (red circle).  I'm looking for the bracket, bolts and the pulley. If someone as the part number of part name, it will be really appreciated.

Thats the idler and tensioner pulley for the super charger that style was used on the P/A, Bonneville and LSS. The better one to use in a Fiero is the one off a GTP or Regal as it is lower and clears the deck lid hinge or is supposed to. Do not know the actual part number but they are available from wreckers. Can check the ones I have in the garage and let you know the numbers off them. Dan

Dan is correct, use the one from a GTP. also another thing you will have to change is the oil filter adapter. You will also need one from a 98 or newer GTP, the one that sticks out front beside the crank pulley, it makes it easier for a engine bracket like the one we use on our swaps. Will it be an auto or manual set up?

Thanks
Joe
