Title: Our locator beacon
Post by: Kitten on April 05, 2005, 09:20:22 am
Well I've thought about this for a while and after the last meeting ending up with two groups in the same restaurant we need a locator beacon when we are in a restaurant...

So the suggestions so far are:
Something with Thingie
A fiero flag

Any more suggestions?

No one will know what the thingie is.  :P

A Fiero flag or just a sign with the club name would do fine.  Want one done?

Can do a small folding stand in a container as well..

Aaron you're having far too much fun with that CAD software.  ;)

That should work though.  I may even have something lying around which can be turned in to a base.  Just need the triangle thingie to mount on top of it.

It takes me less time to draw it out than it would take to explain it.  I drew that in about 30 seconds, then about 20 seconds in paint and voila.

A candle base might be good but you want the stem to be about 29" to the bottom of the flag or it might be a pain to see through.

...or just make sure that everyone slouches in their chairs.  ;)

Unfortunately what I had in mind a) probably isn't anywhere near tall enough and b) isn't where I thought it was.   :(

[hint]  Small ABS tube for storage, wood disc for base, extendable car antenna for height and sign for the top.[/hint]

how about an 8 1/2x11 with a bright (attention grabbing) pic of a fiero and an arrow pointing (ie left or right) to the table we are at.........
make up a couple of these in advance (one left, one right, one straight ahead) and stick one up just inside the door.

the price is right.....

The Fierobuzz logo looks good on a 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of paper and is disposable.

I can make the base out of stuff in the scrap bin.
