Title: 3800 Issues - continued Post by: Dr_Evil on June 01, 2005, 12:17:50 am Hi, it's been a while since my last post regarding the unusual 'dip' in the dyno results. Haven't had time to hook up the scanner to post the pictures yet.
Beyond that, the car itself is currently at Tapp Auto(feel free to drop by and take a look!) and the preliminary results show it is running lean at the upper end. The fix initially is a new fuel pump and then check again. I will be leaving the car there for analysis for at least a few days. On a side note, I see a few others here who have 3800SC's and I would like to meet up with you guys to talk about the 3800 and possibly find a good and Ottawa based mechanic who a) know's Fiero's intimately, and b) knows 3800SC's IN Fieros Would it be possible to hook up at the meeting on June 7? Is this a private event? Title: Re: 3800 Issues - continued Post by: FieroBUZZ on June 01, 2005, 06:18:47 am No such thing as private. Feel free to drop by anytime. The details are in the members' section. There are lots of people willing to share their knowledge (and my lack of the same). Bring the car if you can, always great to see another.
If you need any more info, just ask. O0 BTW what are you using as a fuel pump now, and do you have an add-on pressure regulator? Title: Re: 3800 Issues - continued Post by: GoFast88 on June 01, 2005, 07:52:41 am I will be there, and as a series 11 owner, we can swap horror tales O0

I haven't had a chance to check up on the car status (it is still at the shop) but I think the determination was made by measuring the fuel pressure at the rail. I will keep everyone posted and I hope to attend the meeting and definately bring the car.. |
