Title: 3800 Fixed Post by: Dr_Evil on June 12, 2005, 09:15:48 pm Hi,
I am pleased to announce the 3800 woes have been resolved! Title: Re: 3800 Fixed Post by: Dr_Evil on June 12, 2005, 09:19:31 pm .. I pressed enter too soon on the last post.
As it turns out I needed a new fuel pump. The new Dyno results are 250HP at the wheels! I didn't pick up the car until Tuesday and I missed the meeting.. In the meantime I do have a lot of upgrades planned but I need to find someone locally to do the work. 1) Digital Dash 2) New Seats and dashboard 3) Exterior paint Any ideas? I was thinking of buying the seats and dash from Mr. Mikes but I need a place to apply the leather. Title: Re: 3800 Fixed Post by: FieroBUZZ on June 12, 2005, 09:41:41 pm Mr. Mikes seat skins have become very pricey. You may find a local auto upholstery shop that is cheaper. If not, they are very easy to install and I believe they still come with a video and tools.
Definately a do it yourself install in an hour or two. Custom dashes are very expensive as are digital gauges. Some guys are using the Cavalier digital pods, but they seem to be trouble prone. You may consider making a dash panel and using digital gauges from the hot rodder set (example Dakota Digital) There have been a couple of threads on recommended painters on other local boards. I could look up a few if you are interested. Good and cheap don't come together in painting. However it's possible to get good and value if you find the right guy. Nice dyno results. Looking forward to seeing you and your car. Title: Re: 3800 Fixed Post by: Dr_Evil on June 12, 2005, 11:31:39 pm Here is a picture of the results.. Before and after. Notice the bump in the before pic..
