Wondering if many will turn out for the July 2nd meeting. I am definetely making this one hopefully in my Fiero. Will be at wreckers before then if any one needs any thing. Dan

Wanna keep an eye out for a front swaybar(for the rear of my car) and a headlight modual.. I think that someone left a little money with you, that you could use for that from my engine.

Got some welding on my car done, extra 3800SC harness made up and my Fiero almost done rewiring so with luck it should be drivable by Thursday and able to make it to the meeting with my car. Hoping for a good turnout. Dan

I'm in.  If I can find the time to put Kitten's interior back inside the car where it belongs & do some minor things to mine, I might even be able to bring my own Fiero for once instead of the flippin' CR-V.   ::)

Actually, if everyone's interested, I wouldn't mind hosting this GTG at my place.  I've got more than enough room for everyone and their cars.  We could spend the afternoon BBQing, and maybe some poker later (Aaron?).  It would also be about 45min to an hour less travel time for Dan as I'm out by the Kemptville area, and everyone else get's to enjoy driving their cars!  ;D  Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there...   Let me know.

I am all for a BBQ, will bring the fan and the Fiero trailer hitch, is there any thing else I am forgetting to bring along. Dan

I would be up for the venue change, but are these still being printed in the Citizen?  If so it might be harder to just change it.

The prez called it (in the events calendar <at 9:14 am this morning>for Lonestar in the east end) I won't personally be able to make it as I will be on the road towards Toronto

Check the meeting list again.  The Lone* is a replacement for Hooters in the market, which affects only the August, October, and December GTGs.  July, September, and November are still listed as the Broadway.



...but hey, if Tyler doesn't mind being invaded this weekend, I'm up for that.  The long range weather forecast even seems to think that we might get down in to the 20s by then too.  ;)

I won't be able to make it for this meeting (party at my house) and the next one (August) going camping in PEI.


But I have a little favor to ask someone.   :-[

Dan (Belleville 2ML67) as some parts for me (wiring harness, idler, mounts.... for my 3800SC  ;D , probably a good size box) is someone willing to pick up the box for me (Ottawa/Hull, Orleans or Rockland region), and I will pick it up at your place next week... This will be very very appreciated...  Please let me know ASAP so I can tell Dan to bring it down…

Sorry Guys!  I tried to do this last night, but the forum was down.  My address is 9170 County Rd 44, which is right at the corner of County Rd44 and Jochem Rd.  From Ottawa, take the 416 south to the County Rd 44 exit and turn left onto County Rd 44 from the offramp.  Follow the road until you find my place.  Since county Rd 44 goes through a few different counties, the house numbering systems change.  Once you get past "Wildwood Campground" on your right, my place is is about 500m further on your left.  If you're coming from the 401 (Dan!), take the 416 North to the County Rd 44 exit and turn right from the offramp.  The rest is the same.

I'll be supplying hamburgers, hotdogs, and pop.  I have no problem sharing my beer, but if you want something other than Canadian or the hamburgers and hotdogs, you'll have to bring your own!

As for the arrival time, I figured we could start a bit earlier, 4 or 5pm since we will be BBQing...  I should have enough paper plates, but bring them anyways!

Extra lawn chairs would be nice as well.  I have about a half-dozen, so if we get a larger than normal group, some might be left standing!  ;D

Anything else anyone would like to bring is more than welcome!  (food, plates, napkins, chairs, drinks, etc...)

Sacha & I had some entertainment on our way home...  12:30am or so, on highway 7 about ½ a kilometer east of Dwyer Hill Rd., a cluster of marked & unmarked police cars had a SUV boxed in on the shoulder, with someone lying on his side near the SUV in cuffs.

Not even five minutes later a car comes out of nowhere & threatens to get intimate with our tailpipe.  Not knowing who it was, Sacha gave the brakes a tap to encourage them to either back off or bugger off... then the cherries came on.   ;D  Moments later we're on the side of the road with two police cruisers covering us.

Seems there had been some late night vehicle thefts in the Perth area, and they were checking people out.  Between Ashton Station Rd. and home we spotted another half-dozen police cruisers, both lurking & on the road.  Very unusual to come across that many in that short of a time span out there.  Busy night!

... actually there were three cruisers ... the cop that came to the window was very polite about the whole thing, he even apologized when I told him that he had been freaking me out because of how close he had been following me....

Actually I have it down as the 6th of August.  The 2nd (long weekend) was July (are we a month behind old timer?)

The meeting is for the 6th and the Aylmer show is the 7th (Sunday)  I may even be in town this year.  Do we want a meeting on Saturday afternoon to do some little fix ups as a group to get ready for the show?

This saturday, in fact; I will only need about 10 people, ALL extremely mechanically inclined; self-starters; have their own tools; good at working in close quarters and very small spaces, with minimal equipment and all the wrong materials,....... and oh yeah, can stay round the clock until the show!!   :D :o ::) :P >:D
applicants can just show up in person and ....... start!

Luckily the 416 and the 401 were clear of bad guys with cherries on their cars. My trip home was totally uneventfull and just slightly over an hour long. Must have been that extremely strong tail wind that I had all the way home. Dan
