What is this other way you are planning on going? If you don’t mind me asking. Aaron . Title: Re: CHRFAB 288 Cams , Retainers and springs Post by: Slammed Fiero on July 08, 2005, 02:05:44 pm Well to be honest , I have too many projects. I got the car running really well and it's very enjoyable. I have a direct port nitrous setup for the car. I think it would get tot he point that with nitrous and cams I would be doing nothing but grenading trannies.
I picked up a 66 Corvair 2 weeks ago from Scottsdale Arizona , Car has all heim jointed suspension , Koni's The car is 100% Rust Free , 0 bondo. I am building a Blow through 2.9 Ltr FLat 6 for it.. I would rather put the $$$ towards that car then dump more into the Fiero. I also have the Z06 Corvette injectors you will need to feed the cams They flow 28Lbs @ 43Psi. They are about the right flow rate. Title: Re: CHRFAB 288 Cams , Retainers and springs Post by: Slammed Fiero on July 08, 2005, 05:16:04 pm Direct Swap , I bought them based on Alans suggestion. They are brand new.
Title: Re: CHRFAB 288 Cams , Retainers and springs Post by: aaron88 on July 11, 2005, 05:07:17 pm How much for everything including the injectors?
I have to buy a house in the fall and I’m getting married in the fall, so I don’t think I’m going to be able to spare the cash, but I’m going to try really hard. If all goes well and you haven’t already sold the package, I’ll take it when and if I can. Sorry for the sketchy response. Aaron . Title: Re: CHRFAB 288 Cams , Retainers and springs Post by: Shaun41178 on July 11, 2005, 06:00:41 pm See if you can sell the ported heads and cams and injectors as a package. Its a lot of money for one person to shell out, but if you want to make power you have to spend the money not just talk about spending themoney. But hell its worth about 100 hp or so. gotta think of dollar per hp ratio.
Put it up on ebay if it comes to that. I am sure someone on there will buy it. Have 3 auctions but combine shipping if its the same person. Title: Re: CHRFAB 288 Cams , Retainers and springs Post by: aaron88 on July 12, 2005, 08:53:35 am It’s not really about spending the money, because I have the money, it’s about spending the money right now. I know I shouldn’t but I might anyway.
