Title: Storage shed + hornets nest = Post by: 2ML67 on August 19, 2005, 08:38:40 am Was cleaning out the mess in the back of my shed when I suddenly had this burning sensation on my legs. Had just moved an extra set of Fiero carpets that it turns out the insulation under neath had been home to a very large hornets nest. Well lets just say I may have been stung over 20 times but the nest is now gone and every hornet I could find dead. Turns out if you get stung enough your legs swell up and get very sore, who would have thought. All sheds have now been heavily fumigated with bug killer and now safe for more parts storage. Dan

Got nailed by one a few summers ago while mowing the lawn, and spent the next week-and-a-half with the hand which was stung looking like a baloon. :o

I ran to the neighbors pool and dove in. 40 year later I can still see the hornets flying above the water waiting for me to come up to get a breath of air.
