Title: 3800 SC in a 87 Fiero GT
Post by: lacelles on September 29, 2005, 07:01:16 am
Hi

Well, I just want to give a little update on my 3800SC Engine/Swap

Dan (2ML67) will be installing my engine in January.

This is a few picture of my work so far; The engine should be in one piece by the end of October,

I didn’t have a chance to update my web site, but should be done this weekend

The paint that I'm using for the SC is Plasti-Kote (aluminum) and Anodize RED from Dupli-Color.  The Red is not done yet but I will post some picute when done.

Thanks

Good Job! Dan does an excellent job! and the 3.8sc does a great job propelling the car down the road! are you staying the the auto 4-speed tranny? great gas milage! I cant wait til I put my car away for the winter so I can paint it up and get things looking real nice.

Thanks Mrfiero and Bob

Yes I will stay with the 4 speed auto trans.

Thinks are going great with the engine; I will be putting more pictures next week.

Yes I only heard good thinks about DAN.  I will be meeting him this weekend to pick up my wiring harness....

Thanks

I would really recommend an aftermarkert tranny cooler as it is heat that burns out trannys. For under $100 and a little more weight up front to keep it down   ^-^ if is a good bang for the buck.

My mid size Can Tire special seems to do the trick.

Update on my Engine

The pink you see on the supercharger, is the reflection of the valve cover...

Almost done

If all goes well should be done by end of the month. Shame Gary is not on here any more as he would have some kind of comment on my time schedule. Dan
