Title: More proposals...
Post by: dguy on December 15, 2005, 09:28:30 am
Since it seems to generate some chatter...

You've probably heard about the MTO's idea to create HOV lanes in a number of places on the 400-series highways.

In some places with existing HOV lanes, they are restricted based upon the number of occupants, usually requiring three or more.  A Fiero loaded to capacity need not apply.

There's a rumour currently buzzing about in the motorcycle community that the wording describing use of the new lanes are reserved for vehicles carrying more than one person in any of the following passenger vehicles: car, small truck, minivan, motorcycle or taxi.

Bad for solo bikers, but Fieros with passengers will (theoretically) be allowed to enjoy it.  :)

i think i heard about oc-transpo using them too... if so, if the bus is empty would he be forced to use regular lanes? lol
