To some, $2000-3000 is not unreasonable for a relatively rust-free, safetied & smogged L4 notchie. Most would say that I over-paid for my 85 when I purchased it, but at the time the expenditure was worth it to me. Given however that you're considering a swap, scoot on over to the For Sale section, and check out the '84 which Mr. Tourismo currently has for sale.
