well its finally time to get this stuff together, ive had all the parts (thanks to dan and fierobuzz)

so im going to list what i need to do, just for fun

-im going to be putting in a new(well newer) engine (4-tec), that hopefully runs (got it a few years ago from dan)

-new tranny is going in, cause mine was on the brink (got that from fierobuzz)

-an area nose that i bought off ebay when i first got the car about 6 years ago and never had the time to put on

-a gt trunk and wing (that i still owe fierobuzz at least a pepsi for, lol)

-a new cd player (as the one in it went into my 240sx that i sold)

-fix the headliner(this is probably going to be the most annoying thing)

-new 4x10 speakers up front (probably kicker ks410's)

-new rims, probably 16" or 17" and new tires.. as the ones i have are bald. (if anyone is selling some nice ones, or knows of someone let me know)

- a paint job (red or blue havnt decided, but ill be doing it in my garage, so it will be cheap)

and whatever else needs fixing


and after all that ill finnally be driving my fiero that has sat for the last 3-4 years

well update, went to put new speakers in, and realized that there were already new ones in there from a few years ago when i actually used the car

but i did pick up a new CD player sony GT100


pics will all come at once, when i get a chance



also i got the headliner material off, and its dusty in there now, lol

update: the old engine is out :woot:

soon the newer engine will go in, and then i have to figure out other things to do

engine is in, and now im starting to put peices back on, hopefully i will be turning the key tommorow

next step after all this is done, and before paint is to go out to the field where my other fiero is stashed and see if the sunroof leaks, and if not ill be swapping that too

I just replaced the weatherstrip on my sunroof and that didn't solve my leak problem (it now doesn't sit right).   :(

I'll be looking to swap my sunroof (which I don't really need...it isn't as though I drive around with it out) for a regular roof.

but its making a clicky noise, and it sounds like its coming from the starter.. like the gear isnt backing off properly or something.. i dunno, but its not good

May need a shim under it.   

thats what we are thinking, and what is on the agenda for tommorow

and of course the rear seal of the motor is leaking.. just my luck i didnt change it while it was out of the car... should have thought about it then.

so looks after changing the brake line in the front, one of the brake lines in the back went.. so time to just change them all  :D

AAAHHHH the joys of brake troubles, mind if i hop on that boat my right rear line went on the way home tonight, talk about a fun trip :D

my brake lines have broke when i was driving as well, it wasnt to bad...  just stayed away from main roads and cars


so after changing all the brake lines except the big long one going from the front to back, and finally starting to bleed them, guess what happened?

you guessed it, the very last non changed brake line went.. so changed the final brake line, and tommorow morning im bleeding the brakes and never ever worrying about them again :)

lol, ya well its done now, so im happy  :D

ok after shimming the starter to hell, it doesnt seem to be the starter  ???

do you think if i uploaded a video of the engine starting that it one of you guys might have some insight in whats happening?

and it starts

seems to have been the drive plate(flywheel) the nuts had become lose on it somehow

its back in the car now started it up, and it sounds good now

so now to deal with the rust

took the fiero for a spin around the block, its not running perfect, but it does drive :D


when i put the car away one headlight worked perfectly and the other only went up

now they both only go up, and you have to put them down manually

could this be the relay?

Assuming that you have the 1^st generation headlight system, the most likely culprits are the headlight switch and the isolation relay.

alright i have some spare relays i will try them out
