The seats are pretty tough (but a bit old). If you take them apart and wash them, put some tape (I used iron on seam mender) on the back where the speaker holes are. This will keep them from fraying and making holes. I think Mr Mike's has a how to on cover removal on his site mrmikes.com I have some in bits and pieces if you need any pictures. I have hog rings and pliers as well. If you take them apart just cut the old hog rings for easy removal and you can put new ones in. Gary p.s.
