Post by: barber on February 25, 2008, 09:52:05 am
I am a new member of the forum and i am very determined to go with a fiero project, the only problem is i cannot find too many around. I would need some help locating a fiero gt.

Be patient, watch the classifieds, the Auto Trader, craigslist, etc.  It's a bit early in the season for deals right now.

Availability also would depend on how much you are looking to spend to get an 87/88 GT. There is one here I am replacing the tranny on that will be going up for sale in the spring but it will be very high in price due to the modified 3800SC and 5 speed getrag in it. Dan

If you have your heart set on a GT, then expand the search to the USA.  With the dollar up there, it may be a better deal to get something from outside the rust belt.

Buy the best car you can afford, have it thoroughly checked out first.  A car that has been sitting will need lots of things replaced to be reliable.  A non running 'project' can quickly cost you more than a good safetied car.

What are you planning for it? And where are you located?

Give yourself some credit Dan.  Your cars are incredibly cheep compared to what Archie would charge.

Cheers.
