Title: Anyone Else Installing an F23 5 Speed Transmission Post by: aaron88 on November 03, 2011, 02:41:22 pm Just like the title, is anyone else going this rout?
Just so I can have an idea when I make my mounts and cables, if I should take some good notes. 2000 to 2002 Cav./Sunfire with the 2200 (vin4) is the only correct bellhousing. But if you split the case you can swap the bellhousing with any other F23 from 2000 to 2011. Basically it's the best unmodified transmission you can upgrade to for cheep. I have an 02 Sunfire transmission that I can use for the mock up but I'm still searching for a 2008 to 10 Cobalt with low Km's. Sonshine has one for $725 but I can pull it myself for $120 so I'm holding out. The only thing I'm not sure about is the input shaft from 2008 on. |
