Title: What tranny do I have? 2/3 slipping

 I found these markings. 866 4l80 CFD 910 hydra-matic. Wht tranny is this and what'd it come from?

Most likely a 4T60 or 60E. The easiest way to tell with the 4 speed autos is if it has a vacuum modulator and kick down cable it is a 4T60 if it is just a vacuum modulator and no kick down it is a 4T60E. The 4T60E trannies are very different with a larger electrical connector centered on the top end of the housing and no modulator. Dan

Then it is just a TH125 or what ever they called it, have a good one sitting in my driveway still bolted to a running 2.8 V6 that was pulled for a 3800SC swap. Dan

No longer slipping, the tv cable need adjusting.  The po never had it hooked up.
