Title: Someone fix the mail server?
Post by: JetJumper on August 12, 2012, 10:27:05 pm
Hi guys!  its been years since I have been able to post.  I still lurk every so often and sometimes even wanting to buy a fiero again just to fit in.  hehe

I wasn't able to post cause I could not log in.  I tried the forgot my password tool but the mail server never spit out mail.  This forum still hosted with Nick (Gizmo?) at his house?  I have unlimited hosting space if it needs to move and be quicker with a provided that I am happy to share.

How is everyone doing?  I am sure there are a lot of new faces I don't know.  Is the old crew still alive and kicking?

Cheers!
Chris.

Hey good to see you back!

The forum is still in my rack on a dedicated server after all these years.  Have another domain and will eventually migrate over to new forum software.  Anyway, I broke the config when I moved boxes sometime back and only fixed it this week, yeah I know....slacker... ::)

My apologies to you and everyone.

Email notifications and pwd resets should be working.

Well I'm still here but this place needs a new kick start.  People aren't very active anymore.

Gizmo (Nick) is still around!  :D  Still working at the previous place?  I tried to stop in and say Hi last year (I know its a while ago:P) but they said you were out to lunch..

Kevin, as much as I would love to buy a fiero right now I think my wife would shoot me :P  We are in the throws a trying to get the house organized to sell it and possibly move so we are in the works of downsizing some things.

Nice yellow one on trader (Pretty much what I always wanted but its needs a motor upgrade to a 3.8 or something :) ).. I think its Erics?  The branding on the windshield looks familer to his..

Anywho!  Good to see people are still around :)

So in the last 48 hours I have gotten 13 e-mails saying a new member has joined.  Are these all spam?  or are there actually that many active people wanting to joing the forum :)

Be thankful that I set up those IP-based auto-bans a long time ago.  The volume of spam sign-up attempts from domains outside of North America was far more than 13/day at one point.   ::)
