Title: Grand-Am front rotors. Post by: FieroDough on April 14, 2003, 12:05:11 pm were can i get my front rotors turned to make "hubs" for grand-am rotors?
what $$$ should i expect? thanks! Eric Title: Re:Grand-Am front rotors. Post by: FieroBUZZ on April 14, 2003, 12:35:00 pm I would think that any decent machine shop would do that. Take the new GA rotors along so they can grind off the right amount to let them fit properly. They'll need new longer studs as well.
I have GA's on my rear only. I think a proper stock system is as good. A real 'big' brake upgrade would be the best. Title: Re:Grand-Am front rotors. Post by: FieroDough on April 14, 2003, 12:38:24 pm I'm not worried about braking power, just more of heat and warpage. And i hate having to repack my bearings when i do the front rotors. :P

Take them to Power Automotive, located at the corner of Bronson & Chamberlain. David Power did my GrandAm front conversion a couple of years ago. I'm sure if you remind him of that, he should remember. As for the cost, I believe that the total for parts and labour came out to about $500... (I bought the rotors, calipers, pads, etc from him) tyler... |
