I have a 4 spd from my 85 V6 (with axles if you want them) AND ALSO a 5 spd from a 93 Beretta GTZ that had a quad 4 attached to it. Before I bought it I traded emails from Rodney D and he indicated that yes, it could be used (or I would not have bought it).
Reason for selling - I have a Getrag 284 5 spd and 3.4 package. Asking $50 each; would make great spares/backups or for a planned conversion. Be interested in the 5 speed, let me know if still available Title: Re:2 trannys for sale Post by: fiero308 on July 29, 2003, 09:09:24 am hi; just want to mention 2 items; there are one or maybe 2 others who MIGHT have first dibs; I will check with them to be fair to all; the other is that the bell housing has to be changed; the TRANS part apparently is a swap-in but the Quad 4 bell housing has a diff bolt pattern so that part has to be changed. I am not sure if the bell housing from my 4spd will work or not; it LOOKS like the same bolt pattern but that means nothing. Anyway, a heads up; if the others are not interested I will keep you in mind.
On the other hand, a check with a few local wreckers indicated $400 to $600 for a (I think!) drop in 5 spd so $50 isn't so bad either...... ;) Title: Re:2 trannys for sale Post by: fiero1 on July 29, 2003, 11:52:48 am :oWow that is a good price which you were around a couple of years ago i needed a 4 speed for my 85GT found one across the country at the cost off $500 plus refresh & installation cost .Oh well. :-\ :-\
