Post by: FieroBUZZ on August 29, 2003, 10:15:32 pm Any particular reason for an 84? I think they are the most undesirable of the bunch (my opinion only).
here's an 85 GT for 1200. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/015989.html (http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/015989.html) x-thumpr-x is here on our forum (from T.O.) There is also an 88 GT in Barrie at 2500. and nofiero has an 85 coupe fs in Kingston. Condition of any above are unknown to me, you'd have to track them down. You might also look in our member list and email PBJ (Pete Heidt). He is in London and sold me my car. He often has one around or knows where to find them. Post by: Jumper182 on August 30, 2003, 10:47:28 am Basically: My dad had one when I was younger, and I just like them. He owned an '84 SE....So I'd like an '84 SE.
That doesn't mean that Other years are out of the question....I'll look into the two cars you told me about, but as for contacting that guy...I don't want to step on anyone's toes....I'm new here. Thanks. Title: Re:WANTED: '84 SE..... Post by: FieroBUZZ on August 30, 2003, 12:52:15 pm Fair enough! ;D
The reason I mentioned it is that the 1984 models are more year specific than the rest. The car was made only for the 4 cyl and the wiring looms (and connectors, etc) are quite different. If you plan on some upgrades it is a little more difficult. That said, they are more plentiful and you should locate one that is less expensive than a newer model. Fiero guys are notoriously cheap, so when someone advertises one at a high price he never seems to get it. (hint, bid low). The only advice I can give is to get the best car you can afford...a fixer upper can turn into a money pit very quickly. Get something saftied and e tested, it's worth a little extra. Look for frame rust up under the wheel liners, no e brake etc plus all the regular used car stuff. Some is easy, some hard to remedy. Always good to use to beat down the price a little. DON"T JUMP ON THE FIRST "DEAL" YOU SEE !!!!! Ask us....most of us have been bitten by the attractive but junk Fiero purchase. Gary Title: Re:WANTED: '84 SE..... Post by: JetJumper on August 30, 2003, 05:51:42 pm I am going to be selling mine probably very shortly. It is an 84SE in great condition, Other people from the forum can vouche for that, I think :P Anyways, it is white, I have replaced alot of the stuff on it with newer parts, Including the engine ::) It was just E-Tested but the safety would be an issue because of the windshield, but I have to think more on what I would sell it for first. So I will let you know in the near future
