in my search(es) for all kinds of bizzare stuff I have found a few things to be very helpful: one of them is the advertising newspapers around the Toronto area; namely the "Buy & Sell" and similar.  They have EVERYthing and prices can be amazing.  Cars, car parts, motorcyles, tools, machinery, wheels, tires, stainless steel exhausts and parts, construction and housing materials and all KINDS of modification items that people (and some shops, too) are unloading for whatever reason.  You name it and it is in there........
Here is the proposition part.
I have asked and they will sell a 6 month subscription for $200; that is a weekly paper MAILED to an address in Ottawa; comes out each friday and they said it is in the mail box each monday.

Is anyone interested in going in on this?  Anyone who is even THINKing of buying a motor, trans, brakes, parts, tires, wheels, gauges, stainless mufflers, a donor car (of various sorts?) or ANYthing - this doesn't have to be strictly FIERO related stuff.....  it can be for ANY project you have!!  You might even be into antiques!! (hey.... you have a fiero, don't you?)
if anyone wants to chip in ie, $10 to help offset the cost a bit, then I will get it and be happy to scan and email or otherwise send/deliver sections/articles of interest etc etc to them.....   And this comes EVERY week!!!
Anyway; thought I would throw this out there and see.  I know people are careful with their money but this can save a lot of $$ on even ONE item.

it is just a thought.  I go thru one of these every time I go to Toronto and virtually EVERY time I find the thing(s) I am looking for!  Example: 16" chev IROC camaro rims that START[/b] at $250 each at a shop (used price) I got a SET for $400  and I picked them out..  Saw a set of 4 very nice 16x9 1/2" Vette rims for $250 - the guy just wanted to get rid of them.  Just a couple of examples.
have a great day!
 Cool

i-sell classifieds is about 150 pages and covers an area of 200 miles around Ottawa. It is sold weekly for $1.99 and taxes. So thats about $4 a month x 6 months is $25. It is only a paper based and not available on-line. People can put ads in for free (anything). www.i-sell.ca or buy a copy at your favourate newstand.

I know Brian; get it when I am looking for stuff; it is pretty good! ... now...
imagine that multiplied by 10 or more.  The Buy & Sell and Triad papers are each much much bigger than the Ottawa Sun (same/similar format) but with loads more pages.  So much so that they give the equiv of the "SUN" to ONLY automotive, for example.  The B&S (hmmmm?) comes out weekly and the Triad every other wk like the ISELL.  And even the 'dealer' or commercial ads are useful/interesting.......

I expect that I will find what I want within a couple of issues so I doubt that this thread will matter or lead to anything; I am sure that people like to/need to hang on to their money these days  Roll Eyes

but I thought I would toss it out there in case.  I think I will be able to get some assistance from one of our good Toronto friends on this and will pass along whatever info I can to others here who are looking for things.
