Woohoo, picked up Fiero #4 (the other 3 are gone) just yesterday... it's an '85 GT with 193,000kms.  It was originally a 4-speed, but was converted to an automatic.  I have (I think it's actually the original one) a 4-speed tranny and a new clutch, and am looking to convert it back to manual.  I'm hoping the conversion won't be too difficult, since all the lines (and hopefully the wiring) are still there.  Should be interesting to do anyways, since I've never even dropped a cradle in a Fiero before.

Does anyone have a parts car with everything I'd need to swap it over?

Anyways, on to the picture....

First thing I did was take that spoiler off... Smiley  Second was to fix the right front brake caliper, it was sticking on me during my drive back to Belleville from Owen Sound yesterday... made what should've been a 4 hour drive an 8 hour ordeal.  Ah well, if that's the least of the problems this car gives me, I'll be happy.

I kind of like the spoiler.  Reminds me of a snow shovel.   Wink

Hope to see you at the May 6th get-together (this Saturday).  You'll get to see mine...it was towed to Dan's place.

Cheers, Derek

Fieros hate that first trip to a new home.  Mine came from London to ottawa and I lost most of the brake fluid in Toronto.  Funny how you can make a 5 hour drive without braking .... if you have to!   Undecided

If you don't know Dan already ....you will.    He should have everything you need.  I have a shifter/cable assembly of his here.  you have a tranny and clutch.  You'll need a pedal cluster and the necessary hydraulics and slave cyl.  If it was a 4 speed, thereverse light wiring should be in the harness.  The trim bits are all over the place (console pieces, etc)  Mostly just a time consuming bolt up job.  There should be a how-to up somewhere.

BTW, interesting wing! Someone will likely buy that off you.

Welcome!  Save next Saturday afternoon for the club get together.   Afro

Thanks for the welcome guys.  I've been on this forum before, but I can't for the life of me remember the username I had, and the email address I would have used has expired.  Ah well.  I've been on PFF for almost 5 years under the username BtotheB.

May 6th at Dan's?  I've been to his place once before, but never in a Fiero.  Cool... I'll be there if I can!  Should I bring anything, food/drink?

Heh, snow shovel... now I'm gonna think that everytime I see it.
