FYI saw this new post on a Monte Carlo SS site today:

"It was a nice sunny day today so I thought I would put a wash on the Monte Carlo at the local carwash, after I leave, all nice and clean I get pulled over by the Environment coppers.  He missed the air pump with no belt but wrote me up for no cat, jeez .....can't win these days, to top it off the hood release doesn't always pop the hood so this time when it didn't pop I put my hip into it to gently coax it and creased the fender a little ... it'll come out ok but it won't be perfect,"

This poster is somewhere in Ontario, Canada.

Fine = $365 including victim surcharge Huh?, but it was dropped to $50 if he pleads guilty and reinstalls a working cat (receipts etc. needed).

Whether you believe in anthropogenic global warming or not, it would be difficult to deny that green is cool to a large number of people these days.

Cars are easy targets.  Cars which draw hobbyists might as well have targets painted on them, unfortunately not without cause in some cases.

It's hard to undo a reputation which has 20 or more years behind it, of dropping smog equipment in a dumpster when looking for more "go" than the manufacturer intended...
