I took the car out for a quick spin got ten blocks and the trans.kicks out no forward or reverse.Check fluid it was fine,Shut car off walk to store to call home, Well get back and i tried it works great until a block from home and it cuts out again,hour later she works for about 8-10 min. then nothing any ideas, sensor maybe? Could be a sensor or a bad pump failing once warmed up or even a bad torque converter either way it is most likely some thing internal requiring the tranny to be dropped or disassembled in some way. Dan

Thanks Dan also you can hear a scrapping kind of sound when it kicks out, i have a auto out of 85 2.8 that will bolt up to the 2.5? Thanks Tom
