Working on this purple 84 Fiero of a budy of mine's finnishing off prepping her for a new 3800 power plant. He asked me to update to the 87,88 style headlight motors so I removed the old headlights to find signs of major repair work on driver's side. There is holes from dent pullers and crinkles that should not be there so I removed the front bumper to find metal supports all bent. Shows that you never know till you look real close. In this case I just removed and replaced the metal reinforcements that the body shop should have replaced. Why is it that shops would rather shim the hell out of things than merely replace them properly. Dan

I find the opposite, the shops want to replace everything instead of just fixing things.

Your only limitations are set from within, by a lack of vision.  But to have vision alone leaves the process idle.  Ergo, without action your thoughts are worthless.

Mine has a lot of dingies on the passenger side.  Probably t-boned by a seement truck.

The new car has a rusty bit of frame showing at the rear fenderwell by the spring.  And then it has a perfect side by the battery so who knows?.  I'm trying to resist the urge to tear it apart.  Grin

Now now Gary must we tell you again the proper way is not to completely disassemble unless you plan on putting back together while you still remember where everything goes. This one should be easier as he is going to go with the L36 instead of the L67. Cheap prick that he is. Actually it is for his girlfriend so maybe he shouldn't use the L67 probably too much power for a female anyways. Keeping fingers crossed that I do not anoy any females out there. Dan
