Number one, my starter is not seccured propperly, so in lieu of buying a new one for the (now defunct) duke project..I had to put a shim in it...

Basically, it doesn't dissengage fully, and is hitting the flywheel occasionaly giving a "ting" noise (there was a post about this earlier)

THEN after a night of solid prelude refurbishing, the master cyl decided to go...

grrr...thank god for buddies!

Saturday I went on the search and grabbed one that afternoon for 45 dollars! installed in about 35 mins, then went on to bleeding the system.

1 because of the master swap, 2 because it needed a fluid flush anyways...

Off to crack off the nipples 3 came off like butter  Cool one rounded off and then snapped off!  Angry grrr..

so after tapping and dying, we realised the caliper was fawked!....back to buddy on monday...

(oh this was the left rear caliper off the 2m4)

BAAAAM! one in stock 92 bucks (+core)

Installed, blead and everything tied up on tuesday....(just in time to get a nice letter telling me my licence was suspended for a seat belt ticket not being paid)

*sigh*

tomorrow I get to take my first test drive in her since the latest work...stay tuned!

If I had access to a VISE...I may have been able to drill that old nipple out a little better than Chad holding the caliper under the drill press and me blowing the hot shavings off his hands so he could hold still!

BAAAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Was fun though!

Sounds like you have the “got an old car in the rust belt” blues.

Don’t worry, soon you’ll have the “wire what?” blues, and you’ll forget all about all those other problems.

Your only limitations are set from within, by a lack of vision.  But to have vision alone leaves the process idle.  Ergo, without action your thoughts are worthless.
