Sway bar

OK Here is what I ned to know .I just changed the sway bar bushings and hardware ...Man the old stuff snapped when taking off which was good cause it made it very easy to change but what I need to know is how tight do you bolt it down there is a torque but I do not know it or do you bolt it down till you can't tighten any more.

  In the research I did into this I got the idea that you tighten the locknut enough that the sides of the bushing(s) just squeeze out over the sides of the washer then go have a beer. Kevin

That's what I did so I guess it's done

Tighten stabilizer bar nut to 13 lb-ft or 17 N-m.  If in the case that the bolt and nut are not new and have some resistance to torquing (can’t easily tighten the nut by hand), then measure the torque with the torque wrench and add 13 lb-ft or 17 N-m to the reading you get.

Did you put a   sway bar on back end too?

That will happen in the spring ..she is up on blocks now and sleeping.
