good evening everyone,

I've been having this problem for a long time on my 2M4 now and cant figure it out.  I have sent an email to the fiero list and some people say its the gas filter, or the coil, ignition module, and a vacuum leak.  I have changed the gas filter, checked the coil with a multimeter, and I cant hear any vacuum leak.  However today someone told me that it was the injector or the thing that is inside the air filter that is defective.  So I desided to take the cover off the thing seeing as it was pretty dirty and the connectors were dirty too so I cleaned it with a rag.  I also had the new gas filter so I replaced that too and then cleaned the engine so that no gas was left on it.  After everything was dry, I started it and now the bogging down problem is there all the time!!  The problem used to occur occationally, but now it does it all the time.  If you keep the gas steady it will eventually take the gas, but takes like 1-2sec and then it doesnt it once in a while.  The problem seems to be around that area but seeing as I'm not mechanicly inclined, I am leaving you guys answer that one.  hehe

I had that about a year ago with my 2.5.  Make sure your distributor is good.  I had a hair-line crack that I couldn't see until I took it off and looked at it up close.

I finally got it fixed!!
it was only the rotor and distributor cap that was defective.  It was bogging down after I washed it because water/condensation was building up inside the cap and the rotor was never changed since I got the car 5 yrs ago...hehe
runs great now!
