I have been doing alot of thinking about motor conversions, and I have pretty much decided to go for a 3.4L V6 out of the firebirds. For the simplicity of the swap. I dont want to get involved in changing the ECM. I figure I will want to do the install in the spring. So I have a fair bit of time to find a motor.
Could anyone suggest some good websites or any local info on where I can check for a good priced motor. I can then monitor these places over the next 6/7 months 'till I find one. Maybe even a camaro/firebird forum like Pennocks for Fieros.
     Any help would be fantastic.

www.car-part.com will let you search the yards online.
http://www.a-oautoparts.com/parts.htm  are in Arnprior. Nick (Gizmo) deals with them off and on.

Some of the yards will want a returnable core of the same engine.

Dan also tends to haunt the yards a little further south (  Grin )

You might talk to Tyler, as this is what he is running in his car.
