I need to know the colours for the fuel tank pump wires.  In particular the colour of the power and ground wires (the other will identify themselves).  The car is an 88 Fiero GT.

I had the whole thing apart when I put in the new pump, but I seem to have lost the paper with the wire designation on it, and I don’t want to have to take it apart again to just for that.

I can’t find the wire colours in the GM manual.

Please, someone help.

Aaron

Aaron don't know for sure if 84's are the same but the dissassembled 84 in my garage shows the fuel tank wires as red for pump power pink for sending unit and black for ground. Isn't wiring fun I am in the process of finishing the rewiring of this 84 for a 97 3800N/A swap.

Wow this could really be a very usefull resource.   There have been many times when I would have loved to have acces to various wiring diagrams when working on custom projects or doing repair work.
If you would like, you can send me some diagrams and I will scan them and host them on my website so people can just access them through the net.

We could start a list of usefull diagrams people would like to have.  I for one would like to have engine/powertrain diagram for a 96 Chevy truck Vortec 5.7L and a 94 LT1 Camaro or TA.

Thanks,

Joe

Rob I was already able to get the diagrams for the 97 but yes I do have a scanner so next time in Belleville drop by and I will scan and send out the other diagrams for you. You can laugh at my mess of Fiero's.
I live south of Belleville on county road 2 just north of Wellington. Not far as it only takes me about 15 minutes to get to Loyalist college from where I live.

No need to get me those wire colours, I used an ohm meter to find the right wires.  Field coil 1 ohm (must be the fuel pump), fuel level variable resistor 38 ohm.  So it’s all taken care of.

Marc; it is an 88 GT.

Actually at this moment my 3800SC car is outside with as Gary puts it the heart ripped out to allow for detailing over the winter. Outside with it sits patiently a yellow 88 awaiting a 3800SC swap and inside the garage sits a purple 84 in the process of recieving a 97 3800N/A swap. So it is pretty messy here right now so be prepared for the sight of partially stripped Fiero's. Hey my place is getting more and more like Gary's every day.
