ENG SWAP INFO NEED

HI all
Well it time to retire the wife car!!!!!dameit…………..  it as a 3,8 engine it                      what is one going to do with it
I may just have to remove before I junk it *LOL*
I would appreciate any info  on a 3.8 S..one swap I have a 2.5 in it now 4sp/econo trany
I also need a auto trany for it the one in the care is slipping

Marcel, here are some of the things you'll need.  Some are from your donor some must be found elsewhere, made or reworked.

3.8 motor  
tranny the same as your donor. 4T60, 4T60E, etc.
wiring harness (Fiero and donor)
ecm (donor)
v-6 rad with auto tranny cooler
fuel pump
engine/tranny mounts
linkage and shift mechanism for auto
adapt fuel and coolant lines
exhaust system (keep the first foot or so of pipe from the manifold)
lots of little things.

I understand it is NOT necessary to totally dismantle your car   to do this. Ed's on Dwyer Hill has some older 3.8 which may cough up a suitable tranny.

If you decide not to and are getting rid of your wife's car, I may be interested.  I have another car  on the way.  I don't know how rotten it may be underneath, but it may do for a swap like this.

Oh yea once again Gary is showing off his knowledge and speed at these swap things. If you decide to go ahead with swap feel free to ask for help. I may not be an expert but I do know a little about swapping. Hey Gary another Fiero showed up last night. kind of an ugly purple colour but should work well with a 3800 in there when I'm done. Dan

Is this purple thing Eric's?  If so, then I may yet win the do-it-yourself 92 SSEI into GT fastback-converted to notchback in many colours swap race.    

In my case the major factor is that as soon as I get another car going it'll cost 4k more in insurance

Of course I am a smartass and no it belongs to a friend of mine from Peterborough. Seems I have converted a few over to our side in the last while.
My wife has the opposite complaint seems I take way too long then she doesn't see me again for days. Thank god for locks on garage doors and she wanted me to put an intercom out there. Dan
