...the British Army apparently had a Nuclear Chicken Mine.  The story even claims not to be an April Fool's stunt, but you can form your own opinion.

Bah! i call BS on that... It's remote detoanted right? that means it's powered. So there must off been provisions for keeping it at operating temperature.

Arent military elctronics made to withstand crazy temperature changes ect.. anyhow? I know when i got to gervais electronic the have comercial i.c components and they have military grade.

Actually that story is mentioned in another, strange-but-true style article on the BBC's site.  So unless the 2nd article is a hoax as well...   Smiley
