just keeping my eyes open for a REALLY good, reputable fiberglass bodyman.
ie a former or current Corvette specialist or something like that.  I have talked to any number of guys/shops about doing some little fixes and paint on my car - mine is fiberglass, please note, NOT plastic composite as are the stock fiero bodies......

And they all say the same thing.  "Well, just bring it in and we'll have a look at it......".
Not what I am after.  I want to find a recognized, experienced specialist in fiberglass.

Soooooooo....... if anyone really KNOWS of such a shop/person - and it really does come down to the guy doing the work- please let me know.
TIA!!!!!!!

there were 2 guys in town who did rebodies, one was Aylmer area as I recall and the other Orleans. For some reason I think Gary knows of one of them, I'll see if I can dig up some info.

thanks, Steve
I HAVE to go this route - literally 100% of the body people I talk to 'admit' to having expertise with fiberglass .......... and I just can't think that they really ALL do.

So finding a specialist is very important.  Appreciate the help.

I have expertise in fiberglass too, well for the first year anyway, when it cracks not so much  Wink

Perhaps start here the chap from Ottawa may be a good spot to start.

Steve:
do you KNOW this guy?  Is he still in Ottawa?  Apologies to all the fiero types but I love the GT40.........  and distant thoughts of making one from scratch are still in my head.......
what do you know about him?  Anything?
Reading and looking (rhymes with drooling?) at the site took up WAY too much time....
hopeless addict.....

well
it is mostly a pipe dream. Probably the illegal type of pipe, too.  No, I didn't see that post, but if this set is to go on a fiero chassis then I am not that interested I guess.  I have seen the real thing and some outstanding replicas (that were reportedly made from the original plans - they were awesome!)

So, if I was ever to do a GT40, it would be the authentic type; I think they sometimes put them on 9 or 11" stretch fiero chassis...?  I would want to do a tubular steel frame setup and all that.  After hacking my frame and suspension all up I feel qualified to make a mess of ANYthing!!!!
thx!!
