Hope nobody minds me putting this on the site; the subject should be clear so nobody will 'waste' their time looking at it..........

Also sorry, it is NOT available for $250 or $500 (just to get that out of the way)  Wink
4 door; pretty much fully loaded; 127K km; very clean and very good shape; selling e-tested (Dec '03) and I will certify it too;
I have owned it for about 2 1/2 years and got it with about 60,000 on it, so I can say it is well maintained and in good shape.  LOADS of new stuff recently; muffler, tires, complete front end (upper and lower ball joints and inner & outer tie rods, both sides, brakes.... etc)
LONG list of options; too much to list here, actually;
It does NOT have leather or heated seats but I think it has virtually everything else.  It is the "LE" model if that helps.
Roof rack, trailer hitch; if you want a list of options I can send them; pls email me.
Price: I am finding them listed in the Truck Trader (where it will be next wk) and think I am sort of mid range at $12,900, but will consider reasonable offers.

Reason for selling:  (because it has some value....(!) )
3rd and 4th drivers are coming along; we are going to prob be buying ...... one or maybe two (!?!?) cars to replace it....... Sad Huh Roll Eyes Embarrassed Tongue  (something cheaper/older for insurance purposes)
which just overjoys me............. anyway.......
Thanks!

just an update/comment on the 'effectiveness of advertising'.....

we priced the truck at midrange of what they were going for in the AutoTrader.
It is entering the 2nd wk now (of only TWO in the mag!) and we have had ZERO calls so...  maybe summer is not the time to sell?  Nobody is looking in that mag anymore?

And then when I listed it, I found that (at some point) they had REDUCED the ad from 3 weeks to TWO.  (but not the cost..)

So I don't think I will highly recommend the autotrader to anyone anymore........
Ads are expensive, too.... Roll Eyes

Not to discourage, but I'm still trying to sell the Jetta, and am asking a whole lot less than what you are for your Blazer.   Grin

A few nibbles, a few passers-by stopping to check it out, but nothing pleasureable.  I'm tempted at the moment to try Brian's idea about going through a consignment lot.

i sold my bike in autotrader, had 10 calls the first 2 days, sold it to the first guy that came, it worked great for me, but i think its just the fact the gas prices are soo high and a 4x4 blazer isnt really a summer fun toy

lercs: good point; when I sold my bike it went at my asking price to the first guy who came to look at it.  He was pretty anxious!!!  I got exactly what I had paid myself(!) 2 years earlier, and he was VERY happy!  I had put in the ad ...."no dreamers" because I didn't want kids or test pilots.  Then I got a mouth email from a guy in Alberta who told me I was the dreamer....?!?!??  Hmmm..... best sales experience I ever had.

Anyway, seasonal effect is real.  These things are best to try to sell in Sept and Oct - you're right.  So I might try again then if it doesn't go.

well, interesting to see the 'seasonal effect' at work....... the Auto Trader called yesterday to ask if I wanted to renew my ad.  So I very clearly told the lady that I had rec'd exactly ZERO calls from that ad, so it wasn't really a very good investment.

I will wait until fall, when SUV's and 4x4's are in more demand and try again.  The price will be better and the price of smaller, (sportier?) cars will probably drop too.  A better situation.

But the Auto Trader, now reduced to a TWO week ad at the same exhorbitant price, is a waste of money.  And to the "you're asking too much idea" I looked thru the Trader for a couple of wks at the same year, make and model truck and then went mid-range on the price.  I would have thought I would get ONE call?HuhHuhHuhHuh??
so....... all you who are thinking of selling in the 'Trader might want to think about value for money.  Unless you are ready to dump your car at the lowest price of the bunch.

two cents for ya'......

I hear ya! and I agree.

I'm actually shopping for a blazer or jimmy. but I am pricing all of Ontario. On auto-trader / truck-trader, there are alot of Blazers 98 to 99 under $9000.00

Now for a couple of thousand bucks, I a more than willing to take a cruise to Toronto. Tongue

her in Ottawa, the SUV market seems to be higher priced.

Cheers!
