Went to Peterborough to visit a mechanic friend of mine, while standing outside his garage I get to watch a woman back out her drive way and right into the back end of my car. Lousy friggen drivers. Rim scuffed, trim piece torn off and rear quarter panel piece wrecked. Finally get car all one colour and looking good and some idiot has to screw it up. Her excuse I didn't see the car there, its so small. I reccomend glasses and wake the fuck up when you are behind the wheel. Thinking its time to give up on these little cars and buy a sherman tank, see if some one wants to hit that. Dan

I feel your pain Dan. These knuckleheads that get their licence out of a CrackerJack box that do not take in the big picture when they sit behind the wheel. I think they get lazy with these trucks people drive around as they don't have too look hard to see them no truck=nobody there. She must really have hit you do mess it up like that. Is she going to pay for it at least?

Don't you just love that "I didn't see it" excuse?   Roll Eyes

A woman knocked my motorcycle off its side-stand in a parking lot a couple of years ago, same excuse.  How she missed an object with more reflective surfaces on it than your average bathroom mirror on a clear & sunny day I have no idea.

Exchanged names & numbers, but the business card which her husband gave me was a dead end.  From now on it's licence plate #s and/or driver's licence.  Although I did get some satisfaction from the intimidation factor which seems to accompany bikers--her kid was bawling her eyes out in the back seat, terrified that I was going to hurt her mommy.

Maybe one of these days the licencing offices will add IQ tests to driver's licence requirements, and require a B licence for anything taller than a Crown Vic.  We can hope.

I still stand by that cars should be nothing more than a bare frames vehicle...All those assholes who "didn't see it" will be off the road REAL fast, then we can go back to better than normal driving...

Removed broken panels luckily no actual damage to metal inner areas. Only cosmetic stuff and they are paying to have it fixed. Taking parts off one of my parts cars and they are having them painted to match.
Maybe we should all invest in those red flags with the long poles snow mobiles used to use, take away the excuse I didn't see it. Dan

Parts returned painted to a pretty close match plus had front bumper done while they were at it. Sooner or later will end up with a car with matching paint on all panels.
Oh no I will no longer have that in common with Gary. Dan
