Weight of aluminum block is 59 pounds.  Weight savings of 42 pounds over fwd block and 47 lbs over rwd block Small block chevy style oiling sytstem. Center gallery feeds camshaft and crankshaft bearings.  Iron block has 2 galleries and al block has 3.

Priority feed for the crank and rod mains.
Cast with both fwd and rwd mount bosses.
starter motor can be mounted in either side of the block.

Has provisions for production ignition timing systems(dis), coil packs, and mechanical fuel pumps. Possible overbore to make a 3.4 liter
Extra thick cylinder walls with dry cylinder liners.

Reinforced head bolt bosses which improve cylinder sealing with  high compression ratios.

Main bearing bulkheads ar thicker then stock iron block to increase bottom end strength

That being said this is the ultimate 60 degree block , and you can buy mine for $2000.
