I bought a motor to do a swap about 9 months ago and I am now getting close to do the swap. Its been setting on the engine stand since just as it was pulled out of the Cadillac STS.
I am already planning on changing the oil, oil filter, plugs and wires. I am going to have the fuel injectors cleaned out of the engine, "somewhere that has a bench mechine". Is there anything else that can be or should be done that I can't think about right now?

A simple thing, but valve cover gaskets. They are only about $30 but are easy to install when the engine is out but a @!#$% to change when it is tight in the engine bay.
