okay, I must have a curse or something ... cause this is the second fiero that within a few days of having it on the road I get to deal with a blown engine.. this cars only got 131k on it!  Im so incredibley depressed right now.. Ive got no money for a new engine, it is supposed to be safetied tomorrow.. anyone know if since its still driveable and doesnt knock under 2k rpm will they still saftey it for me so I can get ownership switched around?

  The safety check has nothing to do with the engine at all so you will be able to get that done. Can you give us a few more symptoms? You may find sombody here has an extra engine tucked away. Good luck, Kevin.

D'oh!  Sorry to hear that Rob.  If you want you can have all my spare 2.8 parts... I've got a complete partially-disassembled motor if you want.

Have seen a few engines over the years that were knocking because of a cracked fly wheel. Would check that before tearing any thing apart. Dan

What about a flexplate... Im betting a rod bearing, since it is fine at idel but bad once the RPM' go up.. anyways, it goes into the shop tomorrow.. So we shall see!
