The Ferrari Veglia nightmare

Has anybody out there done this before??? I've installed a factory Ferrari dash into my 355 replica, installed all of the needed sender units into the stock 2.8... had custom connectors made up for the Veglia gauges and am now staring at the f355 service manual wiring diagrams............. has anybody done this before and had success??? I could sure use help!

I have been having no luck trying to find out the compatability between the two cars speedos no one is willing to let me know what feeds the speedo and tach are looking for. So far all I get is bad words and a suggestion of buying a real Ferrari or get lost. Any one have any info on the Ferrari speedo's and tachs. Dan

Anything Ferrari has a really bad reputation of being non co-operative with the kit car market.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Ferrari actually has a policy against it.

If this helps: The speedometer is most likely a 5 or 12 volt TTL signal.  It’s just a matter of finding the frequency.  There will be a zener diode on the circuit board controlling the speedo, get a magnifying glass and identify the voltage.  That will give you a starting point.  Then get a signal generator and find the frequency for a few different speeds.  Then you’ll know what you have to convert from to.

unfortunately they are a bit 'nose in the air' crowd......... I found that out when I had to buy some stuff for my car (genuine ferrari stuff - ouch!!) and they are not too much help.  They have the age-old attitude that if you have a ferrari you just have to PAY the price and so don't be so ridiculous about it!!
And it is a high price; absolutely nutso crazy - for everything!!  (And it isn't even that good!!))
so....... there are a few kit guys etc but it is hard to impossible to get a response from them...... I think due to being busy.  There is a kit car forum; did you find that?  I can send you the link and you could ask there but the answer might be a guess, too....
