I was driving about a week ago and started hearing some good clunking sounds from the front end over bumps. I parked it, jacked it, and shook the drivers side front wheel. It has MAJOR play. So much that I have not driven it since.
I was wondering if anyone lives near St. Laurent in Ottawa that is a front end specialist. If so, if it would be possible to come by and give me a diagnosis. I would say there is a inch of play with a clunking sound when shaking the wheel left to right.
I was pricing tie rods and ball joints today and they are not cheap. So I only want to replace what is exactly needed.
I wouldnt require any work done, just a diagnoses. They car is jacked and ready for inspection.
Anyone?
