That's what you said last time, but there was no karting for you.  Just to rub it in, last meeting was the most fun of any of the meeting I'd been to.  So there, for all you's that couldn't make it.

This time I should be able to make it too.

I still think that Tibs should have spent some time in a kart.  Tongue

Assuming that I don't hurt myself at a Christmas party on Friday night (kinda doubtful given who's hosting it), I'm in.

I spent my money where it counts, on a fiero. If you guys are so insisting on me getting into a kart, cough up the dough.

Maybe we should get together at someones house and play poker and soot the shit over some pizza?

$15 buy in pays for pizza and the top three finishers?

I'm not sure why I'm bothering to say this now because no one is online on Fridays so no one will see this.  We don't even know what we are doing on Sat.

Well speaking both as "no one"  Grin and as someone who can't for the life of him remember how to play poker, I like this idea.  I was trying to think of something different to do, but you beat me to it.  Fast car = fast brain?  Wink

Now I could host it this weekend, but there are a lot of if's:
  • I live about 65km out of downtown Ottawa.
  • Our apartment is rather full, so if any more than 4-5 people show up it will be cramped.
  • Anyone with dog and/or cat allergies, or who is uncomfortable around large, energetic dogs probably wouldn't be very happy.
  • There ain't no such thing as pizza delivery where I live, but there is IMO a top-notch pizza joint about 10 minutes away.  Roll Eyes
If everyone's ok with that, it can be a go for this weekend.  If we postpone until the 11th though, I'm out due to some family stuff.

Soem of us do work (tongue in cheek) on Fridays and have no time to be playing on the net.

Especially those hard-working civil servants, eh?  Wink

Sound like we need a place for Saturday.  My place is okay but a little small, not that, that should be a problem for the five or six that usually show up.

I live right down town at O'Connor and Gilmor (one block from Bank & Somerset), parking for about 5 or six cars.  Let it be an option.

I have plenty of space at my house for both parking and poker.  The only thing is that I'm about as far from downtown Ottawa as Don.  My house is located just south of Kemptville, and we don't get Pizza delivery either, but it's just as easy to order some for pickup as Kemptville is only about 10 min away...   The offer is open.  Grin

I have parking for around 9 cars and lots of room along with a heated garage but I think the 3 hour drive one way is as much of a deterrant for you guys as it is for me. So I think it will be spring again before I make it to any get togethers.
Hey you do not have to be a civil worker to be on here on a Friday, I am here. Dan

Too many ideas, not enough decisions.

This should make the decision a bit easier.  My wife just informed that hydro1 is shutting off the electricity in our area from 11pm to 1am this evening for 'maintenance'.  I have no problem hosting the evening, but it will have to end by 11pm...
