Hello Ottawa  Smiley

Hope you all are enjoying the first snow fall of 2005. (not) Sad

I've come accross this fourm several times in the past and watched it grow over time, I know most of you are not fond of The Fiero Shop/ Race-Tech or myself here in Toronto. This is not a pley of forgiveness but a chance to offer something more than buisness. I would like to be part of your club in all sence as a friend who also owns a fiero.

I have a couple of Fiero's in my stable, an 1984 original Indy Pace car with 79,000 kms, I have an 1988 GT that one day will get my N* with 5 speed and last an 1986 GT called Devlish, some of you may know. The 86 will be getting a 3800 N/A turbo some time this year, I hope.
If any one has any questions in regards to a project that you are working please feel free to ask, I'll try to help anyone the best way I can.

I would like to extend a hand towards any Fiero shows that you may have in the Ottawa area in 2005. If anyone has any remarks or oppinons to me being part of your club don't hesitate to comment.

I would like to wish you all a happy new year.

Cheers
Joe

Welcome to our forum, Joe.  I don't have a problem with your being here or taking part in any of our activities.  We're all here because of the cars.  Afro

Bear in mind that some of us have opinions or preconceived notions of the FS and that if we think that fling crap is in order, we fling crap.  And on top of that we have an endless supply from parliament hill.

I'm sure lots of people here have no problem sending their business your way, just as others of us would not.  Such is the way of the world.

More members can only mean more information to share.  We’re all about loving the car and sharing information here, so more to share is certainly welcome.

Even though I had an issue with you and a certain motor (Northstar), I do also think that you didn’t know about part of the mix-up.  I should have checked the motor vin derivative, but you should have also checked it out.  I’m not going to make a big deal out of it because in the end the motor was in good shape and I got it for an okay price considering it was missing six fuel injectors.

.
P.S. We are getting a lot of Northstar installs into Fiero’s these days.  Just this last year since I posted all the info on my swap, there has been one in Winnipeg and one in Kingston (just to name the Canadian ones).  Many more on the go but not finished (in the US).  GSXRBOBBY just to name one.

Gary thank you for the warm welcome, guess we all can use some warm with this cold snowy weather.

Hi Aaron,
I appoligize for the mix up with your purchase, I myself was missinformed by the seller/supplier. I didn't know about missing injectors, I now it's to late but I have some extra ones lying around. I too am building a Northstar 5 speed swap, it's the same one you seen last year. I don't have any time to do it but one day it will be done. I am building it on an 88 GT, have you gotten your's in your car yet?

Well, Joe;
I gave your business a shot and the experience I had won't bring me back.
'Nuff said; that's water under the bridge now.

As Aaron said elsewhere you have to reduce your sig a LOT; a lot of people are on dial up and that will STOP their computer when they simply want to view a thread.  They won't appreciate that.......

But objectively speaking I am sure your experience and knowledge will be a bonus for a lot of people on this board so that is good of you to share.

So on that note, welcome aboard.

Welcome.... nice to see some fresh blood on the site  Smiley

Oh and like fiero308 said if you could shrink your sig down a little I know I for one would appreciate it.  I'm one of the lucky ones on dial-up  Roll Eyes

PS... the checkers on the decklid of the car in your sig, I was wondering if they were painted or are they decals?  just curious...

Sorry guy's about my sig. I'm looking for a smaller one, if not I have something else.

Kitten, the chechers are decals.

fiero308 doesn't ring a bell to me? I appologize for any miss dealings with you, hope some how I can help you in the future with other fiero related stuff.

James I have had an older gentalman come in and call several times inquiring about installing a N* in his fiero. This person want's to attempt it himself, I offered him my help when he gets started. I don't know if this is any of interst to your dad but my brother inlaw has a 1994 STS complete car that he wants to sell. He has another one that he drives everyday. This 1994 has been sitting in front of Race-Tech for over a year, once and a while I'll boost it and move it around.

Anyone who has a soft spot for GM's little plastic orphan is welcome here.  Even those from cities who can't shovel snow without the army's help!   Grin
