Just wondering how much a ferrari kit goes for?

everything depends.......... you can get kits in all sorts of stages of INcompletion.
That's not a typo; the companies sell them that way.  Often in about 3 stages of completion or INcompletion depending, of course, on how much you want to spend.
So what kit and what 'extras' do you want from the supplier? Things like door hinges (they will be special to that kit) and glass and interior parts and trim, and lights ....... those are SOME of the typical things that may or may not be included.

OR you can get it built 'turnkey' (not uncommon to see the $50K range) or just buy the bare bones basics. Put it this way, I priced JUST the bare bones basic body parts for a Ford GT40 kit - no hinges, interior pieces or hardware; JUST the body parts and glass and it was $12,500 US.  Rough-finished, at that; NOT ready for paint. So........ you get the idea.

So if you are thinking about building a kit from scratch, you really should have a good big place to work, a good collection of tools and be pretty darn good at fabricating, which you may be willing to do.

and also, I can't help but disbelieve the claims of "200 hours" and "300 hours" when I see the 'allowed time' for completion.  That is peanuts in my opinion; a number that is supposed to add to the appeal of a kit.

So what exactly do you want; just the body parts or all the glass, lights, hinges, hardware, interior (dash, console, floor pans, door panels etc).  And lastly, check out the "Mall" at the kit car and fiero forum websites and follow links  and do homework. Every now and then there are bargains but beware; the usual complaints are "poor fitting" and "no instructions" and "the company is out of business" and so on.  There ARE a few that have good reps and they of course cost more because they DO more; better quality kit, better instructions, better customer service etc etc etc.

Not trying to be a wet towel but I wanted a kit car for 20 yrs and watched this stuff go on for all that time.  Just the way the industry goes.

You MIGHT be better to look for one that is running or NEAR completion and get that; possibly in the $15-$20K range (Cdn) of course depending on how good it is and how complete.  So research, read and watch.

And a last point; when I got my 308 kit; I assumed; $orry,... I "a$$umed" that  it wa$ all 'aftermarket' $ort of $tuff. My mi$take. (see where I'm going here?)    Genuine Ferrari lights and body parts (or awfully good replicas) including lenses and bumpers and signal lights and the genuine Ferrari CO$T to go with them.  Just be aware.
