This goes with my post above. O.K. after test driving the car it is wonderful. The car runs strong. However, the power windows are very slow to go up and down. It also needs some of the switches replaced due to the paint wearing off and maybe new seats. The seam on the drivers side is spliting. Everything else seems fine. All the switches and lights work, headlights go up and down, headliner is good. Any suggestions on other key areas that should be checked out? Thanks.

the power window SWITCHES themselves might be the culprits; they can actually be taken apart, cleaned up and reassembled; it doesn't look that hard.
I forget where I saw the thread but prob on PFF.  have a look-see

you already checked the brakes? (got it safetied and all)

replacing the brake fluid in the brake and clutch lines might be an idea. See what colour it is and go from there.  If it is anything other than quite clear or has dirt or cloudiness etc etc in it then it would be a good idea to replace it.
a couple of ideas.

The switches are "touchy" so be careful on a clean table when you take them apart

Slow windows?

All fiero's have slow windows.

The owner just had the front brakes done last week. Saw the reciept for them. They felt good when I drove it. Thanks for the window tips. Someone told me it could be thick grease or something. I'm picking the car up next week so I'll go over it more then. Recomendations on a good parts supplier for small parts (switches, trim, etc.)?

you can still get some things through GM.  But a lot of it is no longer available.  There are a couple of places online that you can get some parts... like the fiero store, there are a couple others but I can't remember them off the top of my head at the moment....

other things can be found in wrecking yards and people with parts cars are about the easiest way to get most pieces... plus the pieces tend to be a little less expensive...

I know the power mirror switch is still available through GM so the power window switches might be too...

The seats are something that just about everyone talks about doing something with.  The drivers side seat is torn in pretty much every fiero I have ever seen.  If you want a really nice replacement for the cloth seats go here..... Mr Mikes ....I've dealt with this place in the past without a single problem, and the workmanship is fabulous... they also have replacement visors and a few other pieces.  The visors are a really nice upgrade from the cloth ones.

If there's something in particular you are looking for just post a note and see if anyone has one.

Sorry --  the mistake is mine. I am refering to Dan (2ML67) in Bellville, a member of the club, who works on fiero's and "lives" at the wreckers  Roll Eyes.
