Morning gang!, Not in Canada, But I'm part canadian! hahaha  Afro

Fairly new Fiero owner here (about 2 months) But I'm not new to welding and metal fabrication and I know my GM/Pontiac/Buick parts like you have NO IDEA! (worked at a Junkyard many years)

Here is my story:  Shocked

I started rustoring Fiero #1 about two months ago... (dont let the picture fool you its actually rotted pretty bad in the (_!_) end and rockers under all that plastic...

Its an Isuzu 5-speed 4-Cyl 2.5 Duke (no ac no power anything) with high mileage that is now stripped to the point that the rear clip was removed behind the window totally, The front suspension torn-down, sandblasted painted and all new parts like ball-joints and bushings in urethane and the entire front clip rust-ored, primered and its now back in gloss black.. (suspension is now TORCH RED with white rims)  Tongue

Upper A-arms blasted, primered and in RED...

Rims and new rubber...

Then the addiction got a little deeper with Fiero #2 bought as a parts car that barely moves and has hit everything but the lottery! (but runs like a TOP with lower mileage)

This ones a 2.8 V6 with a bad (slipping) automatic transmission and body/nose-damage ($500) as a parts car since It had all the things I wanted for #1 like AC, power windows.. etc

So I am now combining the parts from them both and building convertible with a 5" stretch behind the cabin area (more room behind the seats not in front of the engine), using the V6 2.8 and the Isuzu 5-speed transmission together, the AC, power windows everything will go in #1  Shocked

Things you will see is the addition of power steering from a Chevette

Front suspension mounting plates upgraded (because bolts broke taking it out)

before:

during: 1/4" thick steel plate and some metric wheel-studs...

Then in the future a FULL subframe added front to rear and eventually the roof trimmed OFF and a fold-down targa top roof made from all the parts..

Oh yeah... TORCH RED carpets are on the way!  Shocked

Since you all like pictures I figured that the website for them both tells the entire story a little better.., So here is the link...

PS: It almost became a Limo, But I dont want a limo..  Roll Eyes

and I didnt want a 6-pack either...  Grin

No I am not rich.. All monies spent buying and rebuilding my projects are from the non-clogging sandblaster that I designed two years ago (and now own the patent for)

It's plans sell online all day long! (thus the picture in my profile of the prototype)

Liar!!!!!!!!  This is your 2nd post.   Grin    Grin    Grin

Welcome to our little forum.  All that and you wait till the end to say you have a non clogging sandblaster?  I can't count the number of times I hurt my eyes looking in to see what's stuck.....

Nice car, you've done a lot of work on it.  I'm not sure about white rims, never really saw any that looked 'right'...'cept on a van.

Nice to see someone else that dreams up weird Fiero conversions. I tend to get a bit carried away, presently hoping for a decent looking 40's style Fiero, either roadster or pickup.  Just having trouble with the proportions.   Roll Eyes

Keep up the good work...suspension looks sharp.

OK so my reason for joining was the front mounted battery post earier.. you caught me.. hahaha  Cry

Yeah the blaster works!  Cool, NO CLOGS and holds 2 bags of media at a time... I didnt want it to take-over my "second" Fiero post and didnt want to mention it too early so it looked like thats what I was here for.., But yes the plans are cool..

I'm here for my two 1986 Se Fiero's, I'm not just a reader, I'm an owner!

My sandblasting design just adds to the rustoration of the car.., So cant have one without the other..

PS: You stuck the nozzle in your eye?, Can you still read this page??  Embarrassed

There is something like 70 members in my yahoo groups page all making this design or have already.., Its made my Ebay over a 600+ !

OK a link to prove it..?

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=esche10276

I like the white 15" rims (a step up from 14") the white is to break-up the red and black that is going to be all over this car..

Dontcha get it?

Thanks FieroBUZZ.. Now stop stalking me.. hahaha
