A friend of mine bought this from a guy on this site, he saw it running, when he picked it up. He took it to Pontiac to have it saftied. There are some minor things that need to be done along with the breaking system that basically needs to be replaced. The quote from the Pontiac dealership is between $1300-$2100 (and pontiac quote is high) to get it to pass the safety. Also to pass the safty there is area or two on the floor under that car that need to be patched as well. Just some sheet metal should do the trick.
Since I bought it I have not been able to turn over the engine, this is due to a completly drained battery from my understanding. Or possibly a connection somewhere. But both my friend and the pontiac dealership got the engine to turn over and run.
I have not changed my mind to fix the car, it is just a better deal came along for me. And I have decided to take it. And I don't have a need for two cars.
This car is great for a fixer upper, or to be completly parted out.
I am asking $450, or if you feel please make me an offer. My roommates are begining to push me to get this out of the driveway, so the price is very negotiable.
